Modern Slavery Statement
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps Corporate Commercial Surveyors Limited (“CCS”) has taken during the financial year to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in any part of our business or supply chains.
- Our Commitment
At CCS, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and are dedicated to ensuring that our operations and supply chains remain free from such practices.
- Our Business
Corporate Commercial Surveyors Limited is a UK-based firm providing commercial property surveying, valuation, and consultancy services. Our clients include landlords, tenants, investors, and developers across a range of sectors. We operate primarily within the United Kingdom and engage with a network of professional service providers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains are relatively low-risk and primarily involve:
- Professional services (legal, financial, IT)
- Office and facilities management
- Property maintenance and inspection services
- Technology and software providers
We recognise that some areas—particularly facilities management and subcontracted property services—may carry a higher risk of modern slavery and therefore require closer scrutiny.
- Policies and Procedures
To mitigate the risk of modern slavery, we have implemented the following policies:
- Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy – outlining our stance and expectations.
- Supplier Code of Conduct – requiring suppliers to confirm compliance with the Modern Slavery Act.
- Whistleblowing Policy – enabling staff and third parties to report concerns confidentially.
- Recruitment Policy – ensuring fair and transparent hiring practices.
- Due Diligence and Risk Management
We assess the risk of modern slavery in our supply chain through:
- Supplier onboarding checks and contractual clauses
- Periodic reviews of high-risk service categories
- Engagement with suppliers to confirm their own anti-slavery measures
Where appropriate, we seek written assurances from suppliers regarding their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act.
- Training and Awareness
We provide training to relevant staff to raise awareness of modern slavery risks, particularly those involved in procurement, property management, and supplier engagement. This ensures our team can identify red flags and take appropriate action.
- Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
We are committed to continuous improvement and will:
- Review and update our policies annually
- Enhance supplier due diligence processes
- Expand training to cover emerging risks and best practices
- Board Approval
This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of Corporate Commercial Surveyors Limited and will be reviewed annually.
